After his win, Jake said:
“I am very happy to win my first ever international medal and victory at a satellite, after my positive results in Lima and Vancouver last season and a few injuries I suffered along the way.
“I want to thank my club, Escrime Paris Nord, my coaches, Laurent Bel and Miguel Grajales, my physical trainer Theo Buathier and my mental coach Xime Lacy, as well as all my training partners in Paris. I hope to continue this form for the rest of the season.”
Well done also to Georgia Gardner, who placed 5th in the Senior Women’s Foil Satellite in Manama on the previous day.
