BF COMMISSIONS RAGDOLL FOR ‘UNDERSTANDING OUR CLUBS’ SURVEY

BF has commissioned Ragdoll to undertake the “Understanding Our Clubs Survey.” which will gather views from all affiliated fencing clubs to help shape support for the future.

Ragdoll, based in Bristol, is an independent market research agency who have worked with other sports National Governing Bodies to commission club surveys.

The survey aims to:

  • Gather views from clubs directly, creating an up-to-date picture of the views of the people who run fencing clubs.
  • Give insight into the challenges and needs of clubs.
  • Inform what resources, support and assistance is needed for clubs now and in the future.

Next steps:

  • BF will circulate the Understanding Our Clubs survey to club administrators via email (Sport:80).
  • BF encourages clubs to complete the survey when it is received.
  • All responses will be anonymous of which Ragdoll will collate the insights and the information will be used to inform future initiatives and club development support.

Paul Cummins, BF Participation Director, commented saying:

“British Fencing are really pleased to be partnering with Ragdoll for our “Understanding Our Clubs Survey.” As part of BF 2030 Strategy ‘En Garde For The Future’, we want to hear from our affiliated club network to share their views, give insights into the challenges faced in their club and inform us what support they would like to see from British Fencing moving forwards. These views will then be used to help inform future initiatives and help to shape BF’s club development support package moving forwards.”

The survey is one of the current clubs support initiatives discussed in recent Club Development Community Discussion Events.

Club development contributes to the BF 2030 Strategy goal 2 to Create a Sustainable Future, empowering clubs for long-term success.
