CELEBRATING ONE YEAR OF LEADING THE MOVEMENT
Leading the Movement, funded by The National Lottery, is a Sport England programme designed for leaders, by leaders. Today is one year since its launch.
Leading the Movement aims to create a diverse, thriving community of leaders who are supported, empowered, skilled and united in the movement to tackle inequalities in sport and physical activity.
Explore the Leading the Movement website to find out more about the learning opportunities offered, including:
- Events and open-to-all, inclusion webinars.
- Leadership stories exploring the challenges, highlights and top tips of a diverse range of leaders who are working to tackle inequalities.
- A Leadership Community, providing access to events, insight sharing and networking opportunities.
- Guidance and resources focused on leaders tackling inequalities, wellbeing and professional development, partnerships and networking, leadership fundamentals, place-based working, whole systems change, managing change, innovation and digital.
- Coaching and mentoring aimed at overcoming challenges linked to tackling inequalities (for Sport England system partner organisations).
- Place-based Leadership Courses, bringing together local leaders in Place Expansion areas to develop relationships and build momentum towards whole systems change.
- National Leadership Courses, supporting leaders with system leadership skills through residential courses hosted across the country.
