Between February and May 2026, PGL delivered eight co-deliveries for new trainers following their annual refresher event, supporting consistent, high-quality delivery across PGL sites.

Following completion of their annual Train The Trainer refresher training in November 2025, the eight new PGL fencing instructors completed their first training sessions overseen by a coach developer between February and May 2026. These sessions paired a tutor and coach developer to collaboratively plan, deliver, and review course content, reinforcing shared standards and strengthening delivery practice.
The co-delivery model is designed to create space for peer learning, reflective practice, and real-time feedback. Tutors work together across a range of sessions, aligning approaches to content delivery, participant engagement, and assessment methods. This helps ensure that learning experiences remain consistent, inclusive, and aligned with current expectations.
Feedback gathered throughout the series highlighted increased confidence among tutors, stronger alignment in delivery styles, and improved clarity in key teaching points. The process also enabled the identification of small adjustments to session design, supporting continuous improvement across future courses.
The eight co-deliveries form part of PGL’s wider commitment to maintaining high standards within the Train The Trainer programme. By embedding collaboration into delivery, the initiative supports long-term development of tutors while enhancing the experience for participants.
