COACHING FENCING LEVEL 2 (CFL2)

The Coaching Fencing Level 2 (CFL2) course was developed for coaches working with fencers who are becoming proficient and require more tactical and technical input to continue to develop. CFL2 focuses on delivering individual lessons.

Who should attend?

People from clubs and organisation with a number of years fencing experience, where they are confident with the fencing actions.

Pre-requisites to attend the course

  • 18+ years old.
  • Hold valid British Fencing membership.
  • Hold a British Fencing Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF) qualification.
  • Coaches looking to add another weapon, having attended BF L2 courses prior to 2016.

Course Structure

The course is based on a modular approach with a combination of theoretical and practical content. The course consists of: 4 days on course delivery (32 hours) plus ½ day home study – approx. 35 hours.

Pre-requisites for certification

  • Evidence of the appropriate First Aid training.
  • Evidence of the appropriate welfare training.
  • Disclosure and Barring Service check.
