BOOKINGS OPEN: ITCF DURHAM 31.08-01.09.2024

Register today for the upcoming introductory coaching course. 

A new Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF) course in Durham is confirmed and scheduled for the weekend of the 31st of August and the 1st of September 2024. It will take place at Oakleaf Sports Centre and be led by our BF Coach Developer Beth Cranston-Selby.

 

This course will be offered in the full face-to-face format. Candidates will get 16 hours of lessons from the Coach Developer and should complete a few hours of self-study ahead of the first session. Full instructions will be sent to candidates as soon as their place is secured upon payment of the booking fee.

Who is this course for?

Candidates from clubs and organisations with fencing experience who are confident with fencing actions. The course is suitable for aspiring coaches who will deliver group sessions and orientate beginners.

Pre-requisites to attend the course

  • 18+ years old (16 & 17-year-olds are also welcome, based on a suitable reference from their club).
  • Experience in fencing (ideally beyond 12 months) or a Core Coach qualification.
  • Hold a valid British Fencing membership.
