
Hui Xin Sezille claimed bronze at the recent EFC Cadet Sabre event in Sofia, which took place between the 15th-16th November 2025.

On the final day of the EFC Cadet Sabre competition in Sofia, Bulgaria, Hui Xin Sezille picked up a bronze medal out of a field of 207 fencers.
After winning all of her poule fights, Hui Xin went through to the direct elimination round seeded 5th, earning a bye into the tableau of 128. Her first knock-out fight was against Germany’s Mara Barth, whom she defeated 15-9. A confident 15-3 victory in the last 64 against Ines Higuera Lopez (ESP) saw Hui Xin go through to the last 32, where she defeated Jiyun Huang (SGP) 15-11.
In the last 16, Hui Xin beat Anna Suvorova (UKR) 15-8. She then moved on to Maiia Velychko (UKR), a 15-11 victory guaranteeing her a place on the podium.
In the semi-final, Hui Xin put up an excellent fight against 1st seed Ralitsa Gadzheva (BUL). With the match ending in a 15-13 score to Gadzheva, however, Hui Xin took the bronze medal.
