The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) have changed the way that document checks are carried out in England and Wales.
The DBS have issued new guidance about the checking of identity documents.. This means that the checker must see the actual documents rather than doing this virtually. This process was previously relaxed during the Covid-19 pandemic to allow virtual checks to be carried out. Please refer to the full wording from DBS.
