COACH REQUIRED: KINGSTON FENCING CLUB (NEW MALDEN)

Kingston Fencing Club is looking for a motivated Sabre coach to help grow and expand their club.

Kingston Fencing Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Sabre Fencing Coach to join our community-run club. Our club has grown quickly over the last couple of years, and we are still looking to expand both the number of adults and kids fencing at our club. The successful candidate will have a passion for the sport and be able to inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their goals. The coach will be responsible for teaching and training individuals of varying ages and skill levels in the art of Sabre fencing. The coach will be required to work on Mondays from 19:30 to 21:30 with competitive-level fencers, and on Tuesdays from 19:00 to 21:00 with kids at beginner and intermediate levels.

Rate: £35 p/hr

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop training programs and lesson plans for Sabre fencing sessions.
  • Provide individual and group instruction to athletes of different ages and skill levels.
  • Analyse athletes’ performance and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
  • Conduct assessments to determine the skill level of new athletes and develop personalised training plans accordingly.
  • Prepare athletes for competitions and tournaments, including physical conditioning and mental preparation.
  • Develop positive relationships with athletes, parents, and other coaches.
  • Assist with the promotion and expansion of the club, including increasing the number of sessions and extending hours where appropriate.

 

Club hours:

  • Monday: 19:30-21:30 (Competitive level)
  • Tuesday: 19:00-21:00 (All levels)
