My Coaching Philosophy
I am a native Cuban who immigrated to the UK in 2002 and have been active in the fencing community as a fencing coach since that time. I was part of the Cuban National Fencing Team, participating in international competitions such as the Central American Games in 1993 where I won the Gold Medal for Team Foil. I graduated from The University of Havana with a Bachelor’s in Sports Science.

My coaching philosophy is to focus on the individual strengths of each fencer to maximise natural talent and help to develop and hone other areas that require more attention. I also use a holistic approach to coaching and attempt to ensure my fencers are in the right state of mind as well as physical condition to achieve maximum results.
