My Coaching Philosophy
My philosophy is to make fencing fun, help the fencer develop and push themselves to areas they didn't know existed, and help them achieve their goals

Extend ability of higher level fencers to compete at their highest level possible from county, to regional, to National and then International level competitions.

Learn from other top coaches at every opportunity

Pass on my coaching and refereeing experience to others to help produce better British Fencers

I have recently Feb24 been selected to be one of the England Coaches for the U14 Squad who competed in the Paris International.

I also a coach educator and run courses for ITCF (L1) and working towards L2 Coach Educator. I am currently taking the L4 Foil course.

In order for a coach to show on the register we confirm that they meet *minimum* eligibility standards - in terms of suitable criminal record checks, minimum safeguarding training, and minimum entry level coaching qualifications. For more information on minimum standards please see here.

BF does not currently provide an additional verification process in relation to the other information supplied by coaches which shows above. Coaches can choose to provide as much or as little detail as they wish. However, if you have any concerns in relation to the information a coach is providing on the register you can contact us here.

Coaches are encouraged to work within their qualifications and competencies, and if they don't, they are not insured. For more information click here.

It is a sign of good practice that coaches have updated and recent (last 6 years) British Fencing coaching qualifications and assessments. For more information click here.
