My Coaching Philosophy
I believe in tailoring coaching to give students space to explore their own solutions to fencing problems whilst enabling and encouraging creative thinking for specific strategic and tactical fencing situations. In this way athletes are able to develop self discipline and meet challenges head-on with resilience and mental toughness. I aim to foster an environment of healthy competition. Participation in competition affords the student the ability to test and hone their skills with others and crucially grow too. Utimately, my goal is to develop not just fencers, but also individuals who embody the above principles and in the process remain physically fit, and mental healthy.
