CORE COACH – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

British Fencing (BF) will endeavour to offer you a course on your preferred dates, but this will depend on other factors such as the availability of BF Coach Developers and how long in advance you requested the dates.

The total cost of a course includes the booking fee and variable travel costs incurred, which consists of mileage at £0.45 per mile, and other subsistence such as meals and accommodation, when these are required.

Equipment hire is not included and will be charged in addition to the total costs, when required.

If travel to the venue is 100 miles or more away from the Coach Developer, then an additional fee of £30 is chargeable to account for the Coach Developer’s time.

Costs will be invoiced within five business days after the last day of the course. Payment of the full amount is required for certification.

Candidates must be 18 years or older to receive a certificate. Younger candidates may be accepted on the course on a case-by-case basis, but will not receive a certificate until they turn 18 years old.

CANCELLATION

Once a course has been confirmed, cancellation conditions apply as follows:

– More than 30 days before the start of the course: booking fee not payable; any non-refundable subsistence expenses are payable.

– Between 30 and 15 days before the start of the course: 50% of the booking fee and any non-refundable subsistence expenses are payable

– Less than 15 days before the start of the course: full booking fee and any non-refundable subsistence expenses payable

BF reserves the right to withdraw or postpone a course if the Coach Developer is ill, indisposed, or other exceptional circumstances.

In the event where BF has to cancel or postpone a course for any reason, BF will invite you to choose alternative dates for a new course. BF will not be held accountable for any fees incurred in the event the course is withdrawn or rescheduled.
