As a reminder, BF intends to implement COVID Mitigation procedures at all events in September. At present, the mitigation measures in place will include:

  • Mandatory wearing of a face-covering whilst not fencing (unless exempt)
  • Field of play restrictions
  • No coaching during the poules
  • Restrictions in relation to coaches/spectators – it is likely that for some venues, there will be limited spaces for spectators to have a direct view of the event
  • No shouting
  • No handshaking/elbow touching – replaced with salutes on the on guard line
  • Pre-Event Lateral Flow Tests

The mitigation procedures in place will be in review prior to the event, with all participants and attendees made aware of any changes or additional measures.

Space for spectators and coaches is expected to be limited in the majority of venues. Coaches will not be permitted access to the sports hall’s Field of Play until the DE stages. Coaches attending will be required to complete a Field of Play Accreditation application form, which will be made available in due course.

If you have any further questions about this post, please submit them to us via the form here and a member of the ADP team will come back to you.
