Event Organising

This section is intended to provide information for members (clubs, counties, regions etc) to organise events involving fencing. Over time we will build this into a comprehensive guide to all aspects of running a fencing event. For now here are some of the important steps you must

  1. Put together an organising committee – make sure
  2. Find a date/venue
  3. Assign a welfare officer – this is a requirement of all events open to members of the community.
  4. Get your event license – this is required for 2 reasons 1. Your organising committee will have public liability in place (often a requirement of venue booking) 2. Your event will show up on the BF calender and event search and thus be automatically publicised to the event community.
