FULL-TIME SABRE COACH WANTED – THE LEON PAUL PROJECT

The Leon Paul Project is looking for a British Fencing registered sabre coach to join their High Performance team.

The Leon Paul Project seeks a full-time sabre coach to join its existing High Performance team.Based at the Leon Paul Centre in Northwest London, the sabre coach will work with the Lead Sabre Coach and Head of Performance, Jon Salfield, to deliver and develop a comprehensive training programme for national and international sabreurs. The coach will also be responsible for a newly established youth school performance programme, and for develop of younger fencers to feed into the junior and senior training programme.The Leon Paul Project is dedicated to delivering long-term world-class results, with daily training sessions, S&C and physio support, with a group of committed athletes already competing at national and international levels.The Project is based at the state of the art facilities of the Leon Paul Centre, with 24 permanent training pistes, an on-site gym, physio clinic and dedicated coaches’ offices, as well as the Leon Paul Pro shop.The successful candidate will display• excellent technical and tactical sabre coaching skills• a track record of competitive success• the ability to inspire and develop young fencers• strong work and team ethic, and integrity of character• excellent communication skills, with a good command of English• an ambitious, creative, and adaptable approach to coaching• experience of wheelchair coaching desirable but not essentialThe successful candidate will benefit from an excellent working environment, access to the Leon Paul gym. a competitive salary, bonus scheme, and statutory paid holidays.
