The target groups for this camp are all the pathway fencers (currently assessed as T1-T4 and the new fencer cohort completing the November/December induction.

Arrive

Please arrive at the Sports Centre after 10:00 in time for a 10:30 start on the 28th and 09:00 in time for a 09:30 start on the 29th and 30th. Please sign in on arrival. The address is:-

Leave

Departure will be from the same place at 17:00 each day. Please sign out when you leave.

The timing for each day will be:-
28th Dec: 10:30 start, 17:00 leave
29th & 30th Dec: 09:30 start, 17:00 leave

Food

You will need to bring food for lunch each day, there is limited food available to buy on site.

Activity

As part of the activities over the weekend, we’ll be helping you use a phone for recording data and collecting feedback. Please bring a smartphone with some storage space available and an internet connection.

Food

You will need to bring food for lunch each day, there is no food available to buy onsite.

On Tuesday 28th Dec we have organised food to come to the Leon Paul centre at 17:30. This will be a pizza van, you will be able to order what you would like and take it into the centre to eat. The menu is available at https://mobilepizzeria.uk/menu/

You should also bring whatever food you may need in addition to this and for the rest of the weekend.

What you need

Please read the following and make sure you organise them early. This is your responsibility and not your parents’. If you are a parent reading this, please pass it on to your daughter or son.

PLEASE NOTE – all sparring sessions will be in full kit, including socks. The coaches won’t let you fence unless you are.

Essential

. Full fencing kit. All must be in good condition and you should have at least 3 weapons and 2 body wires
· Test and tool kit to maintain your fencing kit
· A thermometer
· Sports kit for non-fencing activity. T-shirts, shorts, indoor running shoes/trainers
· Suitable shoes for all your sports activities. You may need: indoor running or cross-training shoes, outdoor running shoes, fencing shoes
· Named water bottle
· Your training diary, a computer or tablet if your diary is in electronic format or online, computer or tablet if you are part of the DiSE programme
· Your ADP tracksuit if you have one (please arrive wearing your tracksuit)
· A waterproof jacket
· Alarm clock, toiletries and a towel
· Any essential medication
· Mobile phone (please see the guidelines to the use of phones in the code of conduct you’ve agreed to)
· Food. You will need to bring lunch each day

Desirable

· Plasters and non-essential medication, e.g. paracetamol
· Heart rate monitor
· Computer

What not to bring

· Unhealthy snack food
