Combat Club is the rallying cry of four Olympic combat sports coming together with one mission: to elevate performance and unlock excellence.
Led by BF, this pioneering initiative unites coaches from fencing, judo, wrestling and boxing in a powerful cross-disciplinary alliance.
Combat Club offers a co-creative learning space where combat sports strategists challenge convention and share insights. It’s a place to reflect, refine and reimagine coaching practice, with the goal of taking athletes from good to great, and from better to best.
One club. Four disciplines. Endless potential. Join the conversation. Shape the future. Raise the bar.
Combat Club is BF’s flagship and innovative coach learning initiative designed to deliver against our high performance strategic objectives. It is supported by progression funding from UK Sport.

Combat Club is a safe and dynamic space where coaches and combat sports professionals come together to ask bold questions, challenge assumptions and grow stronger together. Practical learning is brought to life through storytelling, shared experiences and reflective playback, deepening understanding and igniting purpose.
Who Is Combat Club for?
Combat Club is open to any BF-registered coach, regardless of where they are in their journey. The programme is designed for coaches supporting fencers along the GBR performance pathway, from emerging talent at the grassroots level to elite athletes.
While coaches already working in high-performance environments will find value in sharing stories, challenges, and co-creating innovative solutions, Combat Club is open to all coaches. We believe that every coach, regardless of level, can benefit from the rich exchange of ideas, insights, and experiences with peers from other Olympic combat sports.
Whether you’re just starting out or deeply embedded in elite sport, Combat Club offers a unique opportunity to grow your practice, expand your perspective and connect with a vibrant coaching community.
