Timelines for Selections

For nominated EFC and FIE events, excluding Major Championships

Where possible, we will always try to post the selection announcements early than 7 working days as we recognise that costs can rise, nearer the events. If possible, BF will start the selection process earlier than the published selection points on the GBR Calendars particularly if there are no other events that will impact the selection, again recognising the potential cost implications created if there is a delay.

In order to keep administration costs down and to retain independent verification in the process we use external volunteers who frequently have other full time work. Volunteers are involved as ranking coordinators, coaches and selection panel members.

For Major Championship selections the process flow is almost identical but  will vary in accordance with the GBR Selection Policy.
