INTERNATIONAL FENCING RESEARCH COMMITTEE CONFERENCE:
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Submit your research and help shape the future of fencing. The International Fencing Research Committee (IFRC) invites researchers, sport scientists, athletes and coaches to share their work at the 2026 IFRC Conference, 23rd-30 July 2026. The deadline for submission is 15th of May, 2026.

The International Fencing Research Committee Conference 2026, in collaboration with British Fencing, will take place online from 23rd to the 30th of July, and marks the beginning of BF Learning Month 2026.

The IFRC welcomes researchers, sport scientists, athletes and coaches to share their work at the 2026 IFRC Conference.

Themes include:

  • Fencing Physiology
  • Biomechanics & Performance Analysis
  • Psychology of Fencing
  • Injuries & Epidemiology
  • Coaching & Pedagogy
  • Future of Fencing

 

Important Dates:

  • Abstract submission: 15 May 2026
  • Acceptance notification: 15 June 2026
  • Final registration: 22 July 2026

 

Presentation Formats:

  • 30-min Live Talks (with Q&A)
  • 15-min Pre-recorded Presentations
  • Narrated 5-min Poster Presentations

There will be a prize for Best Presentation, sponsored by Leon Paul
