
An overview of the GB League Community Discussion Event, which took place on Monday 29th June between 6pm and 7pm.
Welcome & Introductions
The meeting began with welcomes and introductions. BF staff were present, including Chris Bryden (Club Development Officer) and Alex Roper (Communications Administrator) alongside Simon Brock (GB League App creator). In attendance were Luke Hewerdine (Cromer/Norfolk Fencing Club), Maisie Davidson (University of Kent), James Penny (Northern Ireland Fencing) and Kristin Payne (Bristol Fencing Club)

The meeting began with a powerpoint presentation delivered by Chris Bryden (Club Development Officer) which can be viewed below. The presentation focused on the following areas.
Following on from the end of the presentation, Simon Brock provided an overview of the GB League app how to use the app to create events.

Next Steps
Participants were informed that in order to re-launch the GB League, BF will be inviting interest from fencing clubs to be part of the GB League pilot project. Clubs interested in signing up for the pilot can do so below:
Please note that expression’s of interest will close on Friday 21st August 2026 at 5pm. Following this deadline, interested clubs will then be contacted by BF to work alongside the pilot project from September.
