The Leon Paul Fencing Centre is hosting several training camps this summer, helping fencers to develop their skills, make new friends and experience fencing styles outside of their club.

Leon Paul Training Camps take place throughout the year at the Leon Paul Fencing Centre in London. Camps are a great way to improve your fencing, make new friends and experience different styles of fencing you wouldn’t normally come across in your club.
All weapons, age groups and abilities are catered for, just choose the camp that best suits you. Leon Paul has 101 years of world leading fencing experience and use a selection of its own club coaches, former and current international fencers as well as guest coaches from around the world to deliver the quality training camps for everyone.

Weapon: Foil
Age: 8-15 years old
Level: More than 1 years experience
Cost: £500
Details: Led by four time Olympian and world number 1, Richard Kruse. The cost of the camp covers all training, lunch at the venue and entry to the LPJS International Competition.
Date: 4th – 8th August 2025
Weapon: Epee
Age: 8-15 years old
Level: More than 1 years experience
Cost: £500
Details: Led by Oana Puiu, GBR cadet and junior coach with over a decade’s coaching experience. The cost of the camp covers all training, lunch at the venue and entry to the LPJS International Epee Competition.
Date: 11th – 15th August 2025
Weapon: Epee
Age: 15+ years
Level: Competitive fencers
Cost: Sparring only: £250 / Sparring & Lessons: £370
Details: The camp is designed as 5 short but high quality training days starting at 10am and finishing at 2pm, with an option for an evening session. Each day will start with warm up and footwork followed by a competitive sparring session. The sparring will be a mix of free and structured fencing including open bouting, scenarios and timed fights. Weapon: Sabre
Age: Ages 8 and up
Level: Active on the competition circuit
Cost: £300
Details: Led by Jon Salfield, the former GB national sabre coach and three-time Olympic coach. The cost of the camp covers all training, with lessons available as an option.
