Coach Tutor: Malcolm Tooley

Course Dates: 2nd, 3rd, 16th, 17th February, 2nd, 3rd March  2013

16th March 2013 – Emergency First Aid at Work (10:00-13:00, 13:30-17:30) and Safeguarding and Protecting Children (17:30-20:30)

Times: 9.00 – 5.00pm each day

8.30 – 6.00pm First Aid and Safeguarding

Venue: The Sports Centre, Leeds Met University, Headingley Campus, Leeds LS6 3QQ (click here for map)

Cost: £195.00 (Includes BFA registration and Course Manual. Coaches enrolled on the coaching course also receive free enrolment on the First Aider and Safeguarding and Protecting of Children courses for candidates. Coaches not enrolled on the coaching course will be charged separately for First Aid course (£45.00) and for the Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (£35.00)). Certificates will not be issued until all registration requires have been met.

West Yorkshire Sport have ring fenced a Coaching Bursary with funding for up to 75% of the cost of this course. Please click here for more details.

Entry Level Requirement. 1 year fencing experience. If you have been teaching GO/FENCE or Mini-fence and would like to make a transition to metal fencing, please discuss this with the course tutor prior to application.

Please note that candidates under the age of 18 will not be eligible to register as a coach and receive their qualification until they turn 18.

Applicants may be self-funding, or part or whole funded by their clubs and/or through their County Sports Partnership (Coach Development Officer) and/or through England Fencing (Development Grants).
