The 16-year-old takes a third top-eight finish this season, with a Bronze at the EFC Cadet event in Grenoble.
Tristan Lumineau of Salle Paul competed in a 219 strong field at the Challenge Bertrand-Dedieu cup EFC event in Grenoble, France on Saturday 25th November to claim the bronze medal, his second of the season.
A good start to the day saw him dropping just one poule fight and then going onto a string of victories in the direct eliminations.
“I am pleased with my result. I finally settled the score in the last eight against the fencer who i lost to in the European championships earlier this year in Tallinn.” said Tristan.
“My semi-final was a little disappointing and i felt like i rushed my game a little, but overall a good day and a major improvement from last year’s result”.
This is the third time Tristan has made a top eith result this season having finished with a bronze in Budapest and a fifth place in Klagenfurt. His European EFC ranking has now moved up to 2nd.
“Thank you to my coaches Oana and Sam who helped me during my competitions.” he added.
