BF is delighted to announce that Level 3 coach Marion Nemitz has been accepted onto the FIE’s Coaching Academy programme in Budapest. Taking place over three months, Marion will be immersed in fencing development exploring a range of topics. Following this, Marion will take assessments for the FIE recognised diploma. The programme is delivered in partnership with the Hungarian University of Sports Science. Topics include physical preparation, group training including skill development games, as well as individual lessons and coaching pedagogy.
This programme comes of the back of Marion completing the Advanced Coaching Programme and UK Coaching’s Performance Pathway Coaching Collective.
Marion commented:
“Earning a place at the FIE Coaching Academy in Hungary is a fabulous opportunity to learn more, fine-tune my coaching skills and gain new perspectives. I’m particularly excited to explore more advanced techniques and the psychology of coaching which I believe will enhance my effectiveness as a coach. Having focused time away will bring new depth and colour to my coaching enabling me to better support my athletes reaching their goals. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who supported my application and coaching journey and look forward to sharing insights from the course with the fencing community.”
BF Coaching and Workforce Development Manager, Chris Turner, said:
“This is a really exciting opportunity for Marion and we were delighted to support her application. Marion has demonstrated a commitment to her own development through her engagement with various programmes such as the Advanced Coaching Programme. I’m excited to hear Marion’s reflections and how this learning can be embedded across the coaching community.”
We wish the best of luck to Marion and hope that she enjoys the programme.
