Home Office NGB Endorsement

As of July 2010, British Fencing is a registered National Governing Body with the Home Office. This allows British Fencing to endorse applications by Registered Clubs, Home Countries and Affiliated Associations to become Sponsors and to sponsor non-EU nationals to work as fencing coaches in the United Kingdom. More information on what it means to be a registered National Governing Body with the UBKA can be found on their website at http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/

There are strict rules about who British Fencing will endorse as sponsors and coaches which have been approved by the Home Office.  Before making an application for an endorsement you should ensure that you have read the Endorsement Procedures and Requirements (below).

Once you have been registered as a sponsor, you will have to receive a separate governing body endorsement in respect of each migrant coach you wish to employ.  You should complete the Coach Endorsement Application Form (below).

Once coaches have been accepted under the points based system, it is possible to apply have their stay in the United Kingdom extended by completing the Extension Application Form (below).
