Coaching Fencing Course

The Coaching Fencing Course was developed for coaches working in clubs with fencers who are becoming proficient fencers and require more tactical and technical input to continue to develop, this undertaken via the individual lesson.

Who should attend?

People from clubs and organisation with a number of years fencing experience, where they are confident with the fencing actions.

Pre-requisites to attend the course

  • 18 + years old
  • Hold valid British Fencing membership
  • Hold a British Fencing Level 1 or the British Fencing, Introduction to Coaching Fencing Award.
  • Coaches looking to add another weapon having attended BF L2 courses prior to 2016

Commitment

The course is based on a modular approach with a combination of theoretical and practical content. The course consists of: 4 days on course delivery (32 hours) plus ½ day home study – approx. 35 hours

Pre-requisites for certification

  • 18 years of age
  • Evidence of the appropriate First Aid training
  • Evidence of the appropriate Safeguarding and Protecting
  • Children training Disclosure and Barring Service check
