British Fencing Affiliate

Multi Sport Pro (MSP) are our first ever Joint Venture Partner. A joint venture agreement is formal way of us working commercially and in collaboration with another organisation. BF started in 2017 developing with MSP a bolt-on product that aligns itself to the Go/Fence and Mini Swords achievement awards that BF run.

Currently BF provide the outcomes of criteria to be assessed against due to awards being aimed at coaches who were Level 2 and above and participants in Clubs but no resources. However there has been great interest in schools wanting this reward and recognition element of fencing as an activity in a school and feedback that BF have listened to in regards to providing more resources for beginner coaches. Therefore BF have collaborated with MSP to create a Primary School Resource pack to help a community coach go in and deliver the BF achievement awards.

The agreement is in its first year and MSP have been able to help us develop product with their regional presence in primary schools and creative flair in an agile way. Both organisations are working towards a September 2019 launch for the first version of a BF Primary School resource pack, available digitally through our app (once launched in 2018), for any coaches wanting an endorsed BF add-on product that has content for years 1-6 and links to the educational outcomes schools need to evidence.
