FREE Online Development Opportunities for Coaches & Club Welfare Officers

Recommended opportunities to develop and learn for free delivered by UK Coaching and NSPCC CPSU.

During this period many organisations are making a wealth of online training and resources available free or at reduced cost.

Here are a few development opportunities which we would strongly recommend to our coaches and club officials

UK Coaching Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity
Usually £18 now free until 31 August 2020. Gain the confidence to be able to support people experiencing mental health problems, and help them to thrive inside and outside of your sessions.

Curious Coaches’ Club: Open Webinars and Community Practice Discussions

Time2Learn: Interactive Webinars for Coaches wishing to develop their people skills

 

In addition the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit offer a library of free safeguarding resources:

Remote teaching and coaching – Safeguarding guidance for sports organisations and clubs on online teaching and coaching to help them stay in touch with teams and club members during the coronavirus pandemic.

Additional resources for club welfare officers -This webinar is designed as an extra resource for club welfare officers to help them fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities.

Keeping safe online – In this webinar we looked at what sports organisations can do to safeguard both young people and themselves while interacting with members online.
