REMINDER: ITCF TOTNES 25TH-26TH SEPTEMBER

An Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF, Level 1) course is scheduled for the weekend of the 25th and 26th September in Totnes, in the South West Region.

The Introduction to Coaching Fencing (ITCF) course was developed for those with fencing experience who wish to start coaching, and also people who have an interest in working in a community setting, providing those first fencing experiences. The course will provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to deliver group sessions developing the basic skills of fencing.

Who should attend?

People from clubs and organisations with a number of years of fencing experience, who are confident with the fencing actions.

Pre-requisites to attend the course

  • 18 + Years old (16 & 17-year-olds are also welcome,  based on a suitable reference from eg their club)
  • Experience in fencing (Ideally beyond 12 months)
  • Hold valid British Fencing membership

Commitment

The course is based on a modular approach with a combination of theoretical and practical content. The course consists of: 2 days (16 hours) plus home study – Approx. 20 hours total

Pre-requisites for certification

  • 18 years of age (or 16-17 with a reference eg from their club)
  • Evidence of the appropriate First Aid training
  • Evidence of the appropriate Safeguarding and Protecting Children training
  • Disclosure and Barring Service check
