The competition take place in November and in 2021 and 2022 was at the same time as Independence Day. Celebrations can restrict travel in the city centre.

Venue has a small shop, where fencers can access water, etc. There is also a cafeteria that serves a variety of hot meals.

Flights to Riga are available from airports across the UK.
Official transfers are available through the organisers. There is also an airport shuttle bus available which is easy to use. The BOLT app is used in Riga as an alternative to taxi’s.
