Scout Focused Community Discussion to Take Place

On Wednesday 16th December, BF will host a Community discussion for Scout leaders across the UK, who deliver fencing as part of their programme of activities.

The aim of the Community Discussion is to ensure Scout leaders are up to date with BFs best practice, support them with ideas and ways of safely delivering fencing whilst in the current tier system and answer any questions they may have. We are keen to ensure that leaders feel comfortable with the current regulations around delivering fencing in a Covid safe environment, whilst ensuring that the sessions are fun and engaging for all involved.

Virginia Bailey, Head of Participation said “We have seen how successful the Community Discussions have been with our membership, as they are a great way of sharing information and answering questions that the community might have. We want to ensure we are listening to the leaders and making information as accessible as possible for them, so we hope that this event will be a useful tool for the many brilliant volunteers that work so hard to provide opportunities for young people to give fencing a go.”

The session will take place on Zoom and Scout leaders can sign up here.
