The French Fencing Federation (FFE) has become the first international organisation to build and deliver the SwordSeat™ and our resources to their members.
The FFE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BF, allowing them to start delivering the SwordSeat with all our training and resources to their members in France.
Pat Aiyenuro, BF President, said of the agreement:
“We are proud to welcome the first members of our SwordSeat Family following the formal agreement with the French Fencing Federation. The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding represents a significant step forward in strengthening cooperation between our two federations.
By making the SwordSeat available to support fencers and coaches across France, we are advancing a shared commitment to excellence, accessibility and innovation in our sport. This partnership stands as a powerful example of how collaboration can spark progress, elevate performance and expand grassroots participation in seated fencing for generations to come.”
The image above is the first SwordSeat off the French “production line” and thus the first piece created by one of our international SwordSeat Family members.
Remy Delhomme, President of the FFE, said:
“On behalf of the French Fencing Federation, I would like to thank BF and in particular its President Pat Aiyenuro for the signing of the MoU between our two Federations, which allows France to use the SwordSeat patent free of charge. The very low purchase costs of the SwordSeat will certainly help to facilitate and strengthen the development of wheelchair fencing in our clubs. We are therefore experiencing a real turning point: that of better inclusion of people with motor disabilities in our fencing clubs in France, thanks to the SwordSeat and the friendly cooperation with BF!”
