UK ANTI-DOPING CLEAN SPORT WEEK – 23-27 May 2022

It’s @ukantidoping’s #CleanSportWeek from 23-27 May! We’re getting involved and showing our commitment to Clean Sport.

Clean Sport Week is UK Anti-Doping’s national awareness week, championing clean sport, education, and anti-doping initiatives with sports across the UK.

The theme this year: What you see is 100% me

100% me is our athlete education programme. And what we want to see from athletes performing on any stage is 100%  hard work, determination and respect for the rules. With the Commonwealth Games at Birmingham 2022 taking place this summer on home soil, athlete education is as important as ever!

Join us for Clean Sport Week

Learn about the anti-doping processes ahead of the Commonwealth Games, the importance of education, the impacts of doping and much more during Clean Sport Week. We’ll be unveiling the latest UK Anti-Doping research into the public’s perception of doping in sport, will hear from elite sportspeople on how to prepare for a major games, and be running several activities throughout the week.

British Fencing Community Clean Sport Education

To help support fencers to compete clean, understand their rights and responsibilities, and recognise the risks, we are now putting on a series of sessions every 2 months designed for all competitive fencers. These will be delivered over Zoom, and last for 90 minutes. Please note spaces are limited and we will close the registration as soon as the session is full.

The next session will be on the 1st June 2022, at 18:00. To take part please register here https://zx292.infusionsoft.com/app/form/community-anti-doping-education-sign-up-form-adp-1st-june-2022 or use the button below

We would recommend all athlete support personnel (parent, coach, S&C coach, any other sports science expert) do one of the online courses developed by UK Anti Doping. They are open to all on the UKAD Clean Sport Hub at https://www.ukad.org.uk/aboutcleansporthub

For competitive fencers, we also recommend the online education delivered by the International Testing Agency on behalf of the FIE. Recordings of very similar webinars are available here
