UK Sporting Bodies

Home Nation funding bodies: These are the bodies responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in their respective nations, Sport England, sportscotland, Sport Wales, SportNI.

UK Sport: UK Sport provides strategic investment to enable Great Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic sports and athletes to achieve their full medal winning potential.

The BOA: The British Olympic Association (BOA) is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) for Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

UKAD: UK Anti-Doping. The national body responsible for creating a UK-wide environment of confidence in clean sport.

Fencing Bodies

BF has 6 affiliated Home Nation Associations

Some Home Nations (England and Scotland) are split into Regions.

BDFA: The British Disability Fencing (BDF) is the governing body for the paralympic sport of Wheelchair Fencing in Britain.

BVF: British Veterans Fencing runs veteran (40+) competitions including National Championships. They also manage selection and GB teams for European (40+) and World (50+) Championships.
