Elena Murdaca, FIE Sports Administration Manager has asked for assistance from the FIE Women & Fencing Council Members to develop a pool of fencing experts (coaches) who can be used for Olympic Solidarity courses as the FIE wants to ensure women’s representation in this pool.
The Council have been asked to provide recommendations and has agreed to adopt a confederation approach to pulling together a list. As British Fencing has a representative on the Council it has volunteered to collate applications from Europe.
If you are a female coach and wish to be nominated, please complete as much information as possible on the attached forms and return to British Fencing – [email protected]. You will also find a Q&A document attached which will answer any questions you have. Please note that all BF applications will be forwarded to the Council, and BF will not be involved in any subsequent selection process involving BF coaches. If your application is successful you will be contacted directly by the FIE.
Please pay attention to detail on the forms – we have had coaches fail to be selected for courses in the past because they have provided incorrect details.
