The World Fencing League joins the International Fencing Research Committee (IFRC) Conference 2026 with a live session, “World Fencing League and the Future of Fencing”. The event will take place on Thursday 30th July, 4pm BST.
The 2026 International Fencing Research Committee (IFRC) Conference is taking place on 23rd-30th July, and will open BF Learning Month. The IFRC is a global online forum that brings together researchers, sport scientists, athletes and coaches to advance the science of fencing. Conference subjects range from pedagogy to performance, physiology to the future of fencing.

The World Fencing League (WFL) is a professional league reimagining one of the world’s oldest sports for a modern, global audience. Founded by Olympic medallist Miles Chamley-Watson OLY and incubated by Chiron Sports Group, it blends elite competition with athlete-led storytelling and world-class technology. Following its debut in Los Angeles in April 2026, the WFL is bringing together some of the world’s leading fencers to make the sport as thrilling to watch as it is to compete in.

The IFRC Conference opens BF Learning Month, taking place between the 23rd July and 21st August 2026. BF Learning Month is an annual opportunity for our members and wider community to join online developmental and informative sessions in subjects from coaching to community development.
