FIE licence (25 Euros) £30

GBR competition administration and fees

There was one admin entry fee of £15.50 for the following international competitions where BF administrates entries:

  • EFC U14
  • Non Nominated EFC U17 (cadet)
  • Non Nominated EFC U23
  • Senior (FIE World Cups, FIE Grand Prix & Satellite)
  • FIE veterans competitions

FIE Satellites

For the 2024-25 season, BF managed and appointed referees for all FIE Satellites. Each satellite had a fixed referee fee of £80 per athlete. Referee fees were added to the event cost, with the expectation of more than five athletes attending. If a referee was not required, athletes were refunded the fee.

Nominated U20 (Junior) World Cups and all European & World Championships except Veterans were considered ‘managed’ GBR trips, and there were additional services and, therefore, charges associated.

For U17 (Cadet) Nominated and Development EFCs and FIE events, BF organised (and paid for) referees.

Costs were based on an average figure across the season and the Cadet and Junior competitions.

Late entry and withdrawal

Late entries were only be accepted in exceptional personal circumstances that demonstrably prohibited the entry from being completed by the deadline and were subject to available administrative resources and the place still being available.

Where no EFC or FIE fines were associated with a late entry or withdrawal:

BF late entry fee (after BF entry deadline) £100
BF withdrawal fee (non-medical) £15.50
BF withdrawal fee (medical, with evidence provided) Free of charge

EFC and FIE fines

Where EFC or FIE fines were associated with a late entry or withdrawal:

BF administration fee £100, plus any of the following

Refunds

There were no circumstances in which the admin fees were refundable.

If an athlete withdrew from an event after paying, there may have been some circumstances in which BF could have processed a refund (for example, being able to obtain a refund from hotels, and another athlete being able to take place of the withdrawn athlete).

If an athlete withdraws and no other athlete takes their place (after the withdrawal) then the charges that relate to the provision of coaches and referees  at that event are non-refundable.

Athletes are expected to get travel insurance in case of cancellation. BF can provide evidence of payments so that these can be claimed against insurance.

Where refunds were payable, there was a 10% transaction value deduction in addition to the relevant fines, fees and charges set out above.
