National Trust Site to Showcase Fencing

This weekend fencing will feature at one of the finest National Trust properties in the country, Attingham Park in Shrewsbury, Shropshire – May 3-5, 2014.

Fencing will be one of the sports featured in their “Game on!” event throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.  A showcase team match will be put on by Shrewsbury Fencing Club in the beautiful Stable Courtyard at midday on Saturday.  The club will also be providing GO/FENCE taster sessions during the weekend.

Speaking on behalf of the club, David Hiam said; “We are going to run ‘have a go’ sessions for children using foam swords and plastic masks on the lawns in front of the house.  We want let people know that fencing is thriving in the Shropshire and attract new members for local clubs and classes.  Please – pray for a sunny day!”
