BUDAPEST COACHING ACADEMY COURSE 2019

Applications are welcome for the following Budapest Coaching Academy Courses.

1. Epee: from January 20 to April 19, 2019
2. Sabre: from April 21 to July 21, 2019
3. Foil: from July 22 to October 21, 2019

Arrival: the day before the course starts, and Departure: the day after the course finishes.

Format: 8 students per weapon (6 from Europe, 2 from Pan-America/Asia-Oceania)

The course will be held in English from Monday to Friday (09:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00).  Some classes of psychology, physiology, sport theory and biomechanics will be given at the University of Budapest, as well as coach education classes and practice.  At the end of the programme, an examination of practice will take place three days before the final day.

The FIE takes charge of the accommodation and meals, but not the travel costs.

To be eligible, the applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a level-3 coaching award
• Have coaching experience for seven years at least
• Hold an FIE or national licence
• Be in good physical health

• A passport or ID copy
• A recent colour photo
• A  valid Level 3 certificate in the weapon of study
• A doctor’s certificate proving the candidate is in good health
• A short biography (experience in a weapon, name and location of the club, name of the coach)
• The FIE application form filled in and signed by the candidate

Application Deadlines:

• Epee     November 14, 2018.   Admission announced by November 24.
• Sabre:  December 15, 2018.   Admission announced by January 16.
• Foil:       January 15, 2019.         Admission announced by February 2.

Important notes:

1. The Academy does not reimburse transportation fees and other costs
2. The students need to have a health insurance covering the stay in Budapest (medical fees, assistance, accident, repatriation)
3. The students have to bring their own coaching equipment for practice
