British Fencing is seeking candidates for FIE exams. Applicants are expected to have international refereeing experience at Cadet level as well as significant domestic experience.
Candidates will only be considered if they are prepared to commit to being available for 15 international competitions over the next 3 years, although they should not expect to be invited to attend that many competitions. Once qualified applicants will be expected to adhere to any code of conduct that British Fencing may publish.
Applications should be made, via Head Office, to Pat Casey as Chair of Selectors with a copy to Oliver Smith as Chair of the Refereeing Committee. Applications are due by 7th October and the selections will be published by the end of October. Please enclose a brief summary of your recent relevant refereeing and a short description of the reasons why you would be suitable as an FIE referee.
The selections will be made by:
Pat Casey (Chair of Selectors)
Oliver Smith (Chair of RefCom)
Appeals against selection decisions should be made, via Head Office, to Oliver Smith as Chair of RefCom within 2 days of publication of the selections and will be heard by a subcommittee of RefCom.
