The Community Sport and Recreation Awards, formerly known as the Sports Club of the Year Awards, have been running for 20 years – showcasing sport and recreation organisations performing excellent work in local communities.

Each year there are several categories of awards all designed to highlight the breadth of work that is undertaken in the community sport and recreation sector.  This year awards will be presented for:

• Community Sport + Recreation Overall Winner – £2,000
• Volunteer Management – £1,000 – sponsored by TMG CRB
• School Links – £1,000
• Professional Club Community Programme of the Year Award – £1,000 – sponsored by The Professional Footballers’ Association (The PFA)
• Green Thinking – £1,000 – sponsored by Utility Aid
• Innovative Project Award – £1,000

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is encouraging its members (including British Fencing) to each endorse and nominate up to three of their clubs or member organisations for these awards.  To nominate your fencing club or organisation for an award please download the nomination form.

Please be advised that applications need to be endorsed by the National Governing Body so please ensure you apply via British Fencing by sending your application to [email protected] no later than Wednesday 1^st May 2013.
