St. Petersburg win earns BOA accolade for James Davis
Today, James Davis was announced as one of the British Olympic Association’s Athletes of the Year. Davis was one of 35 athletes to be named by the BOA in a list that included Mo Farah (athletics) and Andy Murray (tennis).
This prestigious award was given because of his win at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix as well as his double medal winning performance at the European Championships earlier this year.
“I would like to congratulate each and every athlete who has been named as the BOA Olympic Athlete of the Year, as well as the performance directors, coaches and National Governing Body personnel who have helped these athletes in making 2013 another successful year,” British Olympic Association Chief Executive Officer Bill Sweeney said.
