Let’s be #Fit2Fence!

Are you fit to fence? How are you preparing to go #backtofencing?

Health and fitness is always an important part of how we reach our goals in fencing. Did you know, GB Olympic Fencing team manager Johnny Davis often says, “Never lose a bout because of your fitness. That’s something you can control.”

What is #Fit2Fence?

Based on research and resources developed within our Athlete Development Programme, #Fit2Fence opens up a wealth of information to all the members of BF. If you’re a young fencer, a parent, or a member who wants to make sure you’re ready to fence when activity resumes, #Fit2Fence is for you.

‘Fitness’ includes many aspects:

  • Nutrition
  • Mental Wellbeing
  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Hygiene

During lockdown (and beyond) we’ll be sharing lots of resources to help you maintain your physical and mental fitness. We’ll share easy recipes, fun videos and there’s a series of emails to sign up to below. (Ask your parents if you are under 16).

As always, we will follow government advice and take all precautions to maintain the health and wellbeing of our community. #Fit2Fence is not official medical advice. Our official Covid-19 advice and guidance can be found here.
