BF and Northern Ireland Fencing launch new membership type for Fencing Ireland Members who wish to regularly compete in competitions in Northern Ireland.
The new Northern Ireland – Fencing Ireland Associate Membership allows members of Fencing Ireland who hold a Fencing Ireland competitive licence to enter unlimited BF-registered competitions in Northern Ireland.
Previously, members of any other federation (e.g. Fencing Ireland) could apply for a temporary compete licence to enter, however this is limited to two competitions per year. BF recognises that a number of Fencing Ireland Members would like to travel to Northern Ireland to compete on a more regular basis. The membership type is similar to an existing associate membership offered by Fencing Ireland allowing British Fencing Members to compete in Ireland for a reduced fee.
The Northern Ireland – Fencing Ireland Associate Membership is a compete level membership only, no recreational level membership is available and the membership has no voting rights.
The annual cost of the membership is £12 (£10 via auto renew after the first year)
Fencing Ireland members who wish to take part in BF competitions outside of Northern Ireland (e.g. Youth events running in England) – can either apply for a temporary membership to compete, or if entering more than 2 competitions, a full compete BF Membership.
