UPCOMING COURSES: WHAT’S ON?

Find out which courses are offered to coaches, referees, welfare officers and volunteers. 

BF has a range of courses for the whole community and a dedicated page where you can find more information and booking forms. Whether you are an aspiring coach, want to become a Welfare Officer or to qualify as a referee in a different weapon, there is something for you.

 

 

if you can’t find a course you are interested in, get in touch by completing an Expression of Interest form and BF will contact you when something you like is on.

Some of the courses offered:

Coaching:

  • Introduction to Coaching Fencing (Level 1)
  • Coaching Fencing Level 2
  • Weapon Specific Course (Level 3)
  • Core Coach

Refereeing:

  • Referee L1
  • Referee L2
  • Referee 3+

Welfare:

  • En Garde Ready?
  • BF Welfare Officer Training (fencing-specific equivalent to Time to Listen)
  • BF Online Renewal Safeguarding and Protecting Children

Other courses and courses in development:

  • Explore Fencing (for teachers)
  • First Aid
  • BF Team Manager (currently being reviewed)

 

TRAINING FOR BF REGISTERED WORKFORCE

If you are part of the BF registered workforce and need to complete training to comply with the BF registers minimum requirements, there are some training courses you must complete. Some of them need to be renewed periodically. The list of mandatory courses may include training offered by BF or by other providers. You can find out more about them here:
