REMINDER OF WITHDRAWAL PROCESS FOR EFC AND FIE COMPETITIONS

This is a reminder to that all fencers should follow the updated withdrawal process when withdrawing from any international EFC or FIE competition.

All fencers wishing to withdraw from an EFC or FIE competition must follow the updated withdrawal procedure, published in May 2025. Click here for full details.

Please note the following update to the withdrawal process for both nominated and non-nominated events:

• If you have accepted a place at an EFC or FIE competition and wish to withdraw, you must complete the online withdrawal form, rather than emailing GBR Support. This form can be used for non-medical and medical withdrawals.
• For non-medical withdrawals: use the form to explain the reason for withdrawal and be aware of any fines or charges that may apply.
• For medical withdrawals: use the same form, provide the reason and attach any required medical evidence.
• If you are withdrawing from multiple competitions, you must complete separate forms for each competition you are withdrawing from.
• Make sure you have read the form carefully and reviewed the GBR charges & fines page to familiarise yourself with the process and any charges and fines that may apply.
